Featured Artist: Lady & The Lost Boys Bio

A nice man once said..... Playing music from the Berkshire school of damp labradors, green wellies, moist Edinburgh woollens and ‘Mummy Knows Best ’ attitudes, Lady and the Lost Boys are a female lead five-piece... The introspective topics of the songs are based upon personal experiences and transparent memories... Sipping a coffee in the breaks, petite dark haired vocalist Annabel Jones sings the Legoland, Camberwick Green, Technicolor songs from the Lady and the Lost Boys song-book. A few pared down guitar riffs are well hidden and tend to illuminate rather than detract from the amorphous sounds. The experience is fascinating and calming... This is a band for a damp autumn evening by the open-fire, or to listen to on your Ipod as you take your golden retriever for a walk down the leaf-fall winter lanes. .. .. .. Another nice man once said.... The impression I got was that they make music for themselves. This approach to music is often frowned upon due to it being hard to market but screw that when it sounds this good. Lead singer Annabel Jones has the most heartbreakingly beautiful voice I've heard for quite some time and she happens to be backed by one hell of a tight band. ...... Then another nice man once said... .. In MySpace's desperate attempt to pigeon-hole musicians into categories the description of them is often melted down, squished up and mashed into the simplest form of wrong - three words Just/Like/This. In a rare moment of hitting the nail smack on the head, Lady and the Lost Boys have described themselves to be Childrens/Shoegaze/Idol. Annabel has the sparkly ability to sing wizened thoughts as though she's still learning them. There's been a steady rise of young, female talent coming out of the capital recently. Many of them turn their backs on the goals they set out to achieve in favour of the "Exploit Me" banner - it's about time someone followed through with their plans, and I've got a feeling Lady might be those pioneers of sorts..... Thank you nice men. ........ .. .. .. .. .. .. ..

It's also worth saying that they began in 2005 and they didn't break up in 2006 I keep getting my years mixed up. They didn't disband until about two years ago. Sorry folks! I hope you still love me!
PS [[Lady and the Lost Boys, I miss you because I never got to see you live. <3]]
Love
